Happy Holidays to all of our backers. We hope everyone is safe and well.
We have some new art to share from Rafael and a timeline update. We should have the book done and shipped by April. We are hiring an inker (or two) to help move things along faster, while maintaining the incredible quality and detail Rafael has been delivering. To illustrate what that means we have included two pages below to show what we mean. Rafael does the rough pages, sketching out the entire scene:
Then the inker goes over Rafael's work -- cleaning up the lines, adding detail and finalizing it. It takes a lot of time to do this, so by having an inker we should be able to greatly increase the rate of pages the artist can deliver per week.
We should start getting in our 'extras' soon which we will share with you guys as they arrive. We want to thank you all again for all your patience and faith. We do think everyone will be pleased with the final product -- an almost 200 page full color graphic novel!

We have more art to share with you guys and a timeline update. The Unikorn script is divided into six parts -- and our artist is just about to finish Part 4. So we only have two parts left which is about 60 pages of art. We anticipate him finishing 1st quarter of next year.
We again apologize this has taken so long, the story expanded quite a bit and the detail of Rafael's work is taking longer than any of us anticipated -- but we are getting very close! He's finished over 110 pages of amazing artwork we cannot wait to share with you. Here are some samples:
We will have more colored pages to share with you soon -- as well as an update on the film adaptation!
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

We wanted to give everyone a November update. As we said, art is well underway -- and we thought it was a good time to show everyone the process, so have included in here the rough layouts for a few pages and a final page to show the progression. The artist takes our script pages, sends layouts for review, then finalizes the inks. After that the layouts are colored and lettered.
We are about 2/3rds of the way through the script and the artist is looking for a reliable inker to help speed up production, without sacrificing detail or quality. We know this has taken much longer than anticipated, but the story and the art just keeps improving and we think you will all be happy with the result.
Lastly, the film development side is also moving forward with an eye to shoot next summer. We are starting the casting process now and will keep you all posted as things progress. We thank you again for all your patience and support.

Dear Unikorn Backers --
We have new pages and new updates for you. First of all, we again appreciate everyone's patience. Our artist has been working away, but because of the detail of his work, it's been taking a lot longer than we anticipated. He has recently brought on an inker to help speed up his process. We hope you can see from the quality of these pages that it will be worth the wait.
We will keep everyone updated as things progress!

As we hinted at in our last update -- the Unikorn film adaptation has a director -- Debbie Berman, the editor of Black Panther, Spider-Man:Homecoming and Captain Marvel is making it her directorial debut. The exact shoot dates are not set yet, but the screenplay adaptation of the graphic novel is complete and we expect to start casting soon.
